Born and raised in Southern Texas she picked up her first camera at the age of 16. Inspired by a local artist and high school photography course she began shooting anything that caught her eye. Andrea quickly enrolled in the South Texas Art Institute where she learned the basics of processing and developing her own black and white film/photography. Craving more, Andrea went on to study Vandyke printing. With the help of her mentor she enrolled into State competitions at a young age and became an award winning photographer at the age of 17.
