Set S.M.A.R.T Goals for Looking and Feeling Your Best on Your Wedding Day

All Brides want to look and feel their best on their wedding day but with the stress of planning a wedding, sometimes getting in shape for your wedding can get challenging to put into practice or even know where to start. An easy formula for helping you reach your goals is called S.M.A.R.T Goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely.

S– Specific- Your goal should be specific as possible and answer the questions: What is your goal? How often or how much? Where will it take place?

M– Measurable- How will you measure your goal? Measurement will give you specific feedback and hold you accountable.

A– Attainable: Goals should push you, but it is important that they are achievable. Are your goals attainable?

R– Realistic: Is your goal and timeframe realistic for the goal you have established?

T– Timely: Do you have a timeframe listed in your SMART goal? This helps you be accountable and helps in motivation.

An Example of this might be:

S– I want to lose 15lbs

M– by evidence of fitting into my size 6 wedding dress and 2 piece bikini for the honeymoon.

A– if I stick to my nutrition program, drink plenty of water, and spend 1 hour at the gym 3 times a week

R– I can realistically reach my goal by my wedding date

T– which is in 6 months

When you write out and define what your goals are, they are much easier to achieve and your success at reaching them is far greater than having no plan of action at all.
