My fiancé, Eric, and I, are quite non traditional. We already have the house, and 5 cats to go with it. We dated long distance (Hamilton, Ontario to NYC) for 2 years and then he moved down, enduring a year under my parents’ roof while we saved up for our own mortgage. Now, our goal is to save up for the wedding. We have a date (5/28/2017), and a location (The Queens County Farm Museum), and a time (5:00 pm). Our invitations will be going out next week to 118 guests, we are in discussions with BBQ caterers, and looking for someone to create a fabulous Doctor Who themed cake. There MIGHT be hayrides and animal feeding.
Eric and I are both pretty private and casual, and aren’t looking for a huge to-do from a photography studio with hundreds of photos of the first time we see each other. We would love some photos of on-site prep, ceremony pictures, and some family photos. We plan to have a simple buffet dinner, so we thought maybe an hour of reception pictures. Everything is on the same site, so there isn’t much need for moving gear – the ceremony is on the lawn, and the reception is in the barn. Most of the photography packages I’ve seen online offer minimum 6, even up to 9 hours. We were thinking more on the side of 3 hours.
Is this actually doable? Is this something that you could accommodate, or would be interested in doing? Are you too famous and totally out of our league? 🙂 Do you have any advice, or recommendations? Thanks in advance!
Warmly,
Rachel
